The Essence of Prayer is still and will always be the lifeblood of the church!

 

What Jesus does here in the scripture and His statement resonates throughout history and time to imprint deeply into the hearts of all Christians today what He designates to be an empowerment in His house. 

 

The Silent Praise Of The Church

Matthew 21:1-11

This is a powerful scripture filled with truth and comparison as to what the people did when they came to worship Jesus. This is quite the seen that day! It even brought a criticism from the Pharisees about the people being so full of praise and making that praise known! Luke 19:39-40

Praise gives us a strength that we receive to break chains off of us. Often people come to church bound by their chains and they are comfortable with that. Chains will prevent your praise but praise will break your chains.

The Silent Cry Of The Church

Luke 19:41

What has become of the weeping, the cry of the heart for the lost? Has the Church drawn a cold heart and a blind eye or maybe a blurred eye, to what is going on in this world?

Our nation, quit praying, and now seems to be walking from church to find something more pure and relative. Really, what has become of the sounds of repentance and the cry for lost souls in our nation?

This is a testament of faith, in the reference of trustingGod, through difficult times…Seeking the things that are above where Christ is.Referencing where He is seated. A work completed! The mind is directed to focus on “things that are above”,looking away from things on this earth!

Intercessor: a person who intervenes on behalf of another, especially by prayer. The Person of Jesus Christ explained in Hebrews 7:26

Jesus is forever (continuously) praying for you!

Community Expressed Biblically

Acts 2:1-4

When we are in true community we will show the world that there is someone who can change there existing circumstances. Someone who is purposeful and meaningful to their soul. A change that will last for eternity, not just for a moment.That someone is Jesus! 

Community is not just a word on a sign or a crowd that goes to community meeting! Community is Christianity in its purest form with Jesus at its center!

By The Sheep Gate

John 5:1-9

The Sheep Gate was a small entrance to the city in the northeast segment of the wall near the temple.  The “Sheep Gate” represents salvation. This pool with its eight colonnades or porches would house so many looking to be healed! We could look at this as looking to be saved from illnesses, diseases such as, crippling, blindness, and paralyzed including being lame. 

“The lost sinner does not need help; he needs healing.”

Faith To Withstand The Enemy At The Gates

Acts 3:2;10

"There are times when you are at that placeready to enter into a promise and the enemy rises up to block you from goingforward! You may be stuck at the gate and have become comfortable there! Youmay also have decided to embrace the irreligious politics of the leaders ofyour city (Lot is an example of this: Genesis 19) instead of bringing hope tothat city by speaking the Word of God at the gate."
