Joy Is Strength

Text: Nehemiah 8:9-11; Galatians 5:1; Galatians 5:22-26

Nehemiah was stating that the day that they were celebrating was a sacred day! It was a Holy day! This was the first day of the seventh month, the Feast of Trumpets, which was to be a Day of rejoicing! This was a day of rest, a sacred assembly! A reminder of the approaching Day of Atonement!

God calls his people to the celebration of new life. One’s faith is optimistic because of God’s power. Real joy is an expression of faith in what God can do and is doing.
