Text Matthew 6:9-13

Receiving from the Lord is an honor and an opportunity to express faith in God. He will give you your daily need. Giving is a pertinent part of the prayer where the Lord shows you His care for your needs.

Hebrews 4:11-13

God’s message diagnoses the needs of our hearts and points us to a solution.

His word reaches as far as to the most intimate and accurate knowledge of man’s most hidden parts, feelings, and thoughts, dividing, that is, distinguishing what is spiritual from what is carnal in him, the “spirit” from the “soul.”

Every one of us shall give an account to God.

Ephesians 3:1-21

There are many times that one may feel just what can the Lord do for me? I have messed up, failed again, flawed my hopes through sin, fearing more than I have faith, and futilities (uselessness) outweigh my usefulness.

That type of thinking creates an attitude and approach of unfaithfulness!

However, you are a child of God and He can and will lift you up!

Psalm 139

God has perfect knowledge of man! No wonder, He created man in His own image and likeness. Humanity spends their lives seeking things to replace God and never are they satisfied.

Finding a place to hide from the One who knows the very depths of the soul and understands every thought. God is everywhere, even to the deepest of the seas and also the heavens and to the depths of darkness.

Psalm 63:1

David wrote this psalm while in the wilderness. The wilderness was a barren, desolate place where he was deprived of the comforts of home and exposed to bad weather and hostile enemies.

These things were in and of themselves enough to make the wilderness a very troubling and trying experience. David found it to be even more so for another reason. While in the wilderness he was away from the sanctuary of the Lord.

The question is not whether we, as God’s people, will have to go through wilderness experiences, but rather how to face them. It is at this point that David’s psalm offers tremendous help.

Text: 1 Samuel 30:1-10

A tough day At Ziglag!  What David did not do –

He did not let people influence him.

He did not let the situation master him.

He inquired of the Lord!

He gathered the wisdom of the Lord.

He took steps to better this grave day.

Luke 19:41

What has become of the weeping, the cry of the heart for the lost? Has the Church drawn a cold heart and a blind eye or maybe a blurred eye, to what is going on in this world?

Our nation, quit praying, and now seems to be walking from church to find something more pure and relative. Really, what has become of the sounds of repentance and the cry for lost souls in our nation?
